Service Description
Learn more at empathyhousedoulas.com Owner and Reiki Master Lauren, along with Reiki Master Amber are Certified End of Life Doulas for humans and animals. This is an appointment that has to be requested as we believe that this has to be custom fit for the family and the person or animal that is transitioning. Our main focus is taking the weight off of the family's shoulders by handling services such as these for their loved one. Please let us know if you are dealing with financial hardships as we will work with you for our services. These services include but are not limited to: • In patient and out patient Hospice or Palliative Care Reiki sessions. • Perform bedside vigil final days/hours. • Offer respite to the caregiver. • Advocate for wishes specified in Vigil Plan. • Facilitate a personalized guided meditation for those who need it • Provide Reiki sessions to those who need it • Assist in simple non-medical care to ensure comfort. • Electronic check-ins with family (telephone call, texts, or email). • Conduct anticipatory grief work with caregiver and family. • Assist with telephone calls to family, friends, hospice, or funeral home immediately after the transition. • Advocate for wishes specified in the Vigil Plan on post-transition rituals. • Facilitate discussion with loved ones to reprocess the emotions and experiences of the whole transition process. • Provide resources for early grief support. • Provide resources for household or logistical support, if needed. • Facilitate a personalized guided imagery meditation for stress relief and relaxation. • Educate caregiver or family on signs and symptoms of active transition and imminent transition. Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling: Rescheduling an appointment must be done within a 12 hour notice of scheduled appointment time. If you have rescheduled your appointment more than twice, 50% charge of service will be required before rebooking that will go towards your session. The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations: Must cancel your appointment at least 12 hours prior to scheduled appointment. Card placed on file will be charged 50% of the service price for late cancels and no shows. Late Arrival: Grace period of 10 minutes. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will still provide your service at the full price with a shortened session. Cash, checks, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Venmo are accepted in person at time of appointment.
